Illustrated Maps

An increasingly popular service we supply are illustrated maps that work as a fun alternative to a regular map to pop in with an invitation suite. A great option for weddings that can work either as a save the date, part of the information sheet or as a fun favour in guests’ rooms for destination weddings.

We can print them to any size and not only can you have directions, but also your story mapped out where you and your partner met, where he proposed or where you first kissed!

We have created maps for destination weddings, including Florence, Ibiza, St Tropez and Israel, as well as many for our British brides and included fun details from clients’ homes, pets and local area to the couple themselves.

The process starts by deciding on you artist. We have a selection of in-house artists to choose from each with their own signature style and you can see samples of their work on the website and many more during your studio appointment. Once we have the outlined brief from you including style, information and personal details to include, an initial proof is drawn up. This is followed by an updated sketch, which is sent over for final approval before bringing in the colour. Finally, the illustration is brought into Photoshop for any cleaning or sharpening of the digital file.

Other ideas for an illustrated map are for postcards for your holiday home (popped in your guests’ bedrooms), directions to your business (with the digital image being used on your website or the signature of your emails/newsletters), and for other personal invitations such as Birthdays, Bar Mitzvahs and Christenings.
